Journalist Brian Beutler argued Friday that the Trump administration faces a potential scandal comparable to or worse than the Epstein controversy.

“This ought to be an existential emergency for the American right-wing elite, MAGA, Inc., and even elements of the international far right,” Beutler wrote on his Substack.

It stems from the Tate brothers’ extradition case, where both Andrew and Tristan face charges including child pornography and human trafficking.

Beutler contends the scandal could prove more damaging because the Trump family and administration connections to the Tates are “much clearer and more recent.”

Andrew Tate previously boasted about accessing Donald Trump Jr. in 2017 and joining Barron Trump on a 2024 video call.

The brothers were arrested in Romania in 2022 on rape and trafficking charges, though the case stalled after the Trump administration intervened.

“People well ensconced in Trump world, including members of his administration and even his family were participants in, or at least aware of, what went down in the Tates’ online and in-person network, which they called the War Room,” Beutler argued.

“It’s like a second Epstein scandal, except with the veneer of worldly sophistication and intellectual ferment swapped out for the aesthetics and physicality of a snuff film.”
