Were You Born After 9/11? We Want to Hear From You.

This Video Is Trending Right Now
There was a time when almost everyone could recall exactly where they were on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.
For many Americans, the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were the most significant event of their lives. But today, millions of children, teenagers and young adults can’t remember a world before Sept. 11 — or weren’t even born when the attacks took place.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of the attacks, we want to hear from you. Does Sept. 11 hold a sense of meaning or significance? Do you feel connection to the anniversary, or distant from its memory?
We’re interested in hearing from young people who don’t have firsthand memories of Sept. 11. But feel free to respond if you’re a parent, relative, older sibling or someone who works with young people.
We’ll read every response to this questionnaire and may reach out to learn more about your story. We won’t publish any part of your response without first following up with you and hearing back. And we won’t share your contact information outside the Times newsroom or use it for any purpose other than to get in touch with you.
(Feel free to answer the questions that feel relevant to you. Please fill out this form only if you are 14 or older. If you are between the ages of 14 and 17, we will ask to get in touch with your parent or guardian before talking with you further.)
