A young man has been arrested and handcuffed by a police officer after allegedly causing disturbances at the Dansoman branch of KFC during today’s promotional sale.
The arrest comes as KFC outlets nationwide experienced large crowds for the brand’s 15th Anniversary promotion, offering meals at a discounted price of GH¢15.
Video from the scene shows the man being escorted by an armed police officer amid a crowd of onlookers gathered near the outlet.
Details regarding the exact nature of the disturbance and what specifically led to his arrest have not yet been disclosed. It remains unclear whether he has since been released or is being held for further questioning.
The incident adds to what has otherwise been a day of heavy customer turnout and excitement at KFC branches across the country, as Ghanaians turned out in large numbers to take advantage of the anniversary deal.
