Idahosa rallies Ewonogbon leaders for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election

BENIN CITY — Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, on Thursday, April 23, called on community leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ewonogbon Community, Ugbogui Ward, to mobilise massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

Idahosa made the call when he received a delegation of Baales and APC leaders from Ewonogbon Community in Ovia South-West Local Government Area, who paid him a condolence and solidarity visit at the Edo State Government House. The deputy governor received the delegation on behalf of Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Addressing the visitors, Idahosa noted that the APC, under the leadership of Jarret Tenebe, has created opportunities for members to grow and contribute meaningfully to the party’s success.

Speaking directly to the leader of the delegation, Hon. Bakare Isaac, the deputy governor emphasised that although he was a relatively new entrant into the APC, the party had recognised his political capacity and consequently entrusted him with the vice chairmanship slot for Ovia South-West Local Government.

He commended Bakare for leading the delegation of community leaders and Baales from various camps to express appreciation to the party leadership and the state government.

“For leading the delegation of leaders—Baales from various camps to thank the leadership of our great party and the governor of our dear state for finding one of you worthy to be the Vice Chairman of Ovia South-West Local Government, it affirms that to whom much is given, much is expected,” Idahosa said.

The deputy governor, while interacting with the group, stressed the importance of loyalty and teamwork, noting that those who prove faithful in little responsibilities would be entrusted with greater ones.

He urged members of the community to work in unity and strengthen party structures in Ewonogbor Community and across Ugbogui Ward to deliver victory for the APC in the 2027 presidential election.

“We want reliable and committed party members who will carry the flag of the party into every nook and cranny of Edo State to secure maximum votes for Asiwaju,” he added.

Idahosa also expressed gratitude to the delegation for the condolence visit, urging them to continue to pray for his late mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, until “the resurrection morning.”

Earlier in his remarks, Hon. Bakare Isaac said the delegation visited to appreciate the deputy governor for his support following his emergence as the APC vice chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming Ovia South-West Local Government election. He added that the visit was also to condole with Idahosa over the loss of his mother
