Tyla Announces “A*POP” Album Release Date, Teases Bold Global Era With 19-Track Project

Tyla says that her second album, A*POP, will be out on July 24, 2026. The South African actress teases a cinematic new era with a 19-track record that defines her worldwide voice after winning two Grammy Awards in a row.

Officially, Tyla is prepared to usher in a new age. The South African artist has stated that her sophomore album, A*POP, will be released on July 24, 2026, following months of subtle teasers. The announcement was made through a cinematic teaser that establishes the project’s unabashedly African, self-assured, and international nature.

The A-Pop era’s visual manifesto is presented in the trailer. Tyla describes the project as an evolution where she is “settled in” and has a better understanding of her path as she describes the shift into this next stage of her career. 

She clarified that although her debut seemed like a “rush,” she now knows exactly what she wants to convey in an interview with Rolling Stone. Tyla told i-D Magazine that the album’s 19 tracks “really reflect” where she is in her life right now, shifting from the initial pressure of a huge debut to a sound that emerged organically.

over the artist, who has been winning awards at a record-breaking rate over the past two years, it is a momentous occasion. “Water,” the viral smash that won her the first-ever Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance, was inspired by her 2024 self-titled debut, “TYLA.” 

She demonstrated that her triumph was not an exception as she won the same category for “Push 2 Start” in February 2026, becoming the youngest African singer to win two Grammys and the first artist to win the prize twice.

Although A*POP’s complete track list is still unknown, the album already has a strong base. It includes “Chanel,” which debuted on her 2025 mixtape “WWP,” and “She Did It Again,” a recent duet with Zara Larsson that has a pop style reminiscent of the 2000s. Additionally, there are rumors that this cycle includes a partnership with Wizkid called “Dynamite,” which would increase her desired cross-continental reach.

On the day of the release, Tyla will play at the TODAY Show’s Citi Concert Series in New York City, giving the album’s life cycle a high-profile beginning.
