Abiodun, others worship with Beejay Sax at Lagos concert

Gospel singer and saxophonist, Banjoko Abolaji, popularly known as Beejay Sax, hosted the ninth edition of his annual concert, Beejay Sax Live, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The event featured performances by several gospel artistes, including Adeyinka Alaseyori, Chinyere Udoma, Pelumi Deborah, Blessing Lopez, BBO, Dare Justified, among others. The venue was packed with worshippers who attended with family and friends for an evening of praise and worship.

Each performance kept the audience on its feet, dancing and singing along. From alujo and highlife to soul-stirring worship sessions, the artistes delivered energetic ministrations that resonated with attendees. The concert was hosted by compères— Mojibade Sosanya and Lanre Gregory (MC Larry J).

One of the highlights of the event came during Beejay Sax’s performance. Stepping off the stage and into the congregation, he engaged directly with members of the audience, handing the microphone to random attendees who sang along while he accompanied them on the saxophone. The spontaneous interaction drew cheers and added a unique touch to the worship experience.

Among the notable guests at the concert were the First Lady of Ogun State, Bamidele Abiodun; former First Lady of Lagos State, Abimbola Fashola; the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon in Oyo State, Oba Olusola Alao, and his wife, Olori Adedoyin-Alao; as well as the founder of City Media Academy, Doja Allen, and her husband, Akinsola, among others.
