Adefisoye returns Tinubu as winner of Idanre APC presidential primary
Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye has officially declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the APC presidential primary in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Adefisoye had emerged as the winner of the APC primaries for the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency amid questions over his clearance status.
Serving as the Returning Officer for the local government, Adefisoye announced the results after collating votes from all wards in the area.
President Tinubu polled a total of 8,797 votes, while his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, scored zero votes.
Adefisoye gave the detailed ward breakdown of President Tinubu’s votes as follows, 998 in Ala-Elemosho, 1,889 in Alade-Atoshin, 689 in Idale-Lemikan, 701 in Idale-Logbosere, 617 in Ijomu-Itshurin, 1,008 in Irowo, 586 in Isalu-Ehiinpeti, 1,101 in Isalu-Jigbokin, 699 in Ofosu-Onisere, and 509 in Owena-Aponmu Lona.
The results were formally announced in the presence of party stakeholders, election observers, security operatives, and APC members who witnessed the collation and declaration process.
The development has sparked considerable political interest, especially given ongoing controversies surrounding the eligibility and clearance of certain aspirants within the party.
