Arsenal crowned Premier League champions at Palace
Arsenal were crowned Premier League Champions on Sunday at Selhurst Park, the home ground of Crystal Palace.
Mikel Arteta’s men defeated their host 2-1 through goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke, making it their 26th win of their title-winning campaign.
Jean-Philippe Mateta pulled one back for Crystal Palace but it was not enough to spoil Arsenal’s celebration.
Arsenal were confirmed champions Tuesday night when Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth, falling four points behind Arsenal before Sunday’s final games.
Arsenal were handed their 14th English League title after the game, 22 years after they last won it in the 2003-04 season.
Arsenal will now focus on the UEFA Champions League Final where they will face defending Champions Paris St Germain in Budapest, Hungary on May 30.Â
