BREAKING: EFCC arrests convicted ex-power minister Saleh Mamman
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken into custody former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, who was recently convicted and sentenced by the federal high court in Abuja over alleged financial misappropriation.
According to Ola Olukoyede, the EFCC Chairman, the former minister was picked up in the early hours of Tuesday at about 3:30am during an operation carried out in Kaduna State.
Olukoyede disclosed that Mamman was arrested alongside two other individuals believed to have been assisting him at the time of the arrest.
He added that the residence where the operation took place is currently under investigation as authorities continue efforts to uncover possible links and further evidence connected to the case.
