EPL: Man Utd won’t win title under Carrick next season – Rooney

Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has warned supporters not to expect a Premier League title charge next season.
The Red Devils have already confirmed that Michael Carrick will continue in charge of the team, having signed a long-term contract.
United won 12 of their 17 matches under Carrick, as they finished in third place and secured Champions League football.
But Rooney is not convinced that his former club will be contenders for the title next term.
He said: “We all want them to win the league, but you have to be realistic and say, are they going to win the league? Are they going to win the Champions League?
“I think it’s going to be very difficult, but trying to get an improvement.”
