Full list: 9 EPL clubs to compete in Europe next season after Palace win

Crystal Palace F.C. have secured a place in next season’s UEFA Europa League after defeating Rayo Vallecano to win the UEFA Conference League final in Leipzig.

The victory makes Palace the third English club to lift the Conference League trophy after West Ham United F.C. in 2023 and Chelsea F.C. in 2025.

Oliver Glasner’s side have now ensured that the Premier League will have a joint-record nine clubs competing in European competitions during the 2026/27 season.

By winning the Conference League, Palace automatically qualify for the league phase of the UEFA Europa League despite finishing 15th in the Premier League table.

Their qualification does not affect the places already secured by other English clubs. AFC Bournemouth and Sunderland A.F.C. had already booked Europa League spots after finishing sixth and seventh respectively in the league standings, while Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. qualified for the Conference League after ending the campaign in eighth position.

In the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal F.C., Manchester City F.C., Manchester United F.C. and Aston Villa F.C. are joined by Liverpool F.C., who secured qualification through the European Performance Spot awarded to the Premier League.

Palace’s European triumph means the Premier League has matched its own record of nine clubs competing in UEFA tournaments, equalling the total from the 2025/26 campaign.

There will, however, be some fresh faces representing England next season. Bournemouth, Brighton, Manchester United and Sunderland replace Newcastle United F.C., Nottingham Forest F.C., Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea among the Premier League clubs heading into Europe.
