How exactly is a failed husband and father measured? – Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, trolls Peter Obi for saying he can never be angry with his wife even if she che@ts on him

Lere  Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has publicly mocked presidential hopeful, Peter Obi over his stance on marital infidelity.

In a social media post this morning, Olayinka targeted Obi’s viral comments from a past podcast interview where the politician claimed he would not divorce or get angry with his wife even if she cheated.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast in 2024, Obi explained that the public shame of such actions would rest entirely on the cheating spouse rather than the partner. He emphasized that his commitment to his marriage remains unbreakable regardless of any external circumstances

‘’As long as I am alive, she is my wife. That’s me. I can tell you that” he said 

 

‘’Whatever she likes let her do because what is she going to do that will offend me? Maybe have an affair? It is her business. It is not me. They wouldn’t say two of us had an affair. They will say Peter Obi is a very good man who married a woman who…you can’t quantify me with the life of my wife or my children. No! We have different lifestyles.”
