Iheanacho scores in Celtic’s Scottish Cup final win over Dunfermline
Kelechi Iheanacho was on target as Celtic defeated Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 to win the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park on Saturday.
Celtic started the game strongly, with Daizen Maeda handing them the lead in the 17th minute.
The Hoops continued their dominance but had to wait until nine minutes before the break before extending their lead through Arne Engels.
Iheanacho replaced James Forrest two minutes before the hour mark.
The Nigerian international netted Celtic’s third of the game in the 17th minute.
The striker finished the campaign with nine goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys.
Josh Cooper reduced the deficit for Dunfermline in the 80th minute.
