Kogi APC Primaries: Ramatu Aliyu Hails Aguye, Karimi’s Victories As Proof Of Grassroots Confidence
Former Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has congratulated Hon. Danladi Aguye and Senator Sunday Steve Karimi on their victories in the Kogi All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, describing both outcomes as a strong expression of trust by party members and the electorate.
She said the emergence of both politicians as flagbearers reflects deep confidence in their leadership qualities, adding that the primaries have once again demonstrated the strength of internal democracy within the party in Kogi State.
Aliyu further noted that the victories signal continuity and stability within the APC, stressing that both Aguye and Karimi carry the expectations of their constituencies ahead of the general elections.
“I warmly congratulate Hon. Danladi Aguye and Senator Sunday Steve Karimi on their well-deserved victories in the Kogi APC primaries. These successes are a clear reflection of the confidence reposed in them by party members and stakeholders who recognise their dedication, capacity, and commitment to service.
“Your respective victories are not only personal milestones but also significant steps forward for the people you represent. They signal renewed hope for purposeful leadership anchored on integrity, inclusiveness, and development-driven representation,” Aliyu said.
Aliyu added that the outcomes of the primaries highlight the importance of resilience, engagement, and consistent grassroots connection in political leadership, noting that both men have maintained strong ties with their supporters over time.
“I commend your courage, patience, and steadfastness throughout the political process. Your journeys to these victories reflect resilience and a firm belief in democratic engagement, which has ultimately earned you the trust of your people,” she added.
She urged them to remain focused on uniting stakeholders, deepening inclusive governance, and advancing the aspirations of their constituents, even as they prepare for the responsibility ahead.
