Rivers: Blessing Fubara wins NDC guber primary in Opobo/Nkoro

The Campaign Media Directorate of the Amb. Blessing Fubara Snr. Governorship Project has said the victory of Amb. Blessing Fubara Snr. in the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) gubernatorial primary election held in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area represents a strong vote of confidence in the leadership, vision, and development agenda of Amb. Blessing Fubara Snr., as delegates and party faithful overwhelmingly endorsed his aspiration.

“The people of Opobo/Nkoro have spoken clearly through this democratic process. This victory reflects the growing belief in Amb. Blessing Fubara Snr. ‘s capacity to provide purposeful leadership and deliver meaningful development across Rivers State,” a statement by the Directorate read.

The Directorate noted that the result further demonstrates the widespread support enjoyed by Amb. Fubara among party stakeholders, grassroots supporters, youths, women, elders, and community leaders within the local government area.

Reacting to the outcome, Amb. Blessing Fubara Snr. expressed gratitude to delegates and supporters for their confidence in his leadership.

“This victory belongs to the people. I am deeply humbled by the trust reposed in me and remain committed to serving Rivers State with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering focus on development and inclusive governance,” he said.

The Campaign Media Directorate also commended the leadership of the Nigerian Democratic Congress for conducting what it described as a transparent, peaceful, and credible primary election process.

It further called on party members across the state to remain united and committed to the collective objective of securing victory for the NDC in the forthcoming governorship election.

The Directorate reaffirmed that Amb. Fubara remains committed to his S.P.H.E.R.E. development framework, which focuses on Security, Power, Health, Education, Rural Roads, and Empowerment as the key pillars for transforming Rivers State and improving the welfare of its people.

“The victory recorded in Opobo/Nkoro is more than an electoral success; it is a clear indication that the people are ready for visionary leadership, inclusive governance, and sustainable development. We appreciate the support of all stakeholders and assure them that this mandate will be honoured through service and commitment to the progress of Rivers State,” the statement added.
