Sowore accuses DSS of obstructing Justice Crack from fulfilling his bail condition
Activist, Omoyele Sowore, has accused the Department of State Security DSS of frustrating the actualization of the bail conditions of social critic, Justice Crack.
.....
In a post shared on Facebook this morning, Sowore said Justice Crack has fulfilled his bail conditions except for the submission of his passport which he said is currently in the custody of the DSS.Â
Â
He claims the DSS has refused to tender Justice Crack’s passport to his lawyer’s for it to be tendered to the court.
‘’UPDATE ON JUSTICE CRACK: It should be noted that Justice Chidiebere, aka Justice Crack, has fulfilled virtually all his bail conditions except one issue involving the deposit of his international passport. Ironically, the passport is currently in the custody of the lawless DSS, which has refused to release it to his lawyers to enable full compliance with the bail conditions and secure his release from unjust detention.
It now appears that the bail conditions themselves may have been deliberately designed to make compliance impossible in the first place, thereby prolonging his unlawful incarceration despite the court’s ruling. #FreeJusticeCeackNOW ‘’
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday, May 18, granted bail in the sum of N5 million and one surety in like sum to Justice crack who is being prosecuted by the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged cybercrime offences linked to a viral video concerning the feeding of Nigerian Army.
