Wabara-led PDP BoT, interim NWC in closed-door meeting with Makinde in Ibadan
The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the factional Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Adolphus Wabara, alongside members of the interim National Working Committee (NWC) under Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, are holding a closed-door meeting with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
Sources familiar with the development disclosed that the meeting came on the heels of widespread reports linking Governor Makinde to a 2027 presidential ambition leveraging an emerging political alliance with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The talks are also expected to address the tragic bandit and kidnapping incidents recorded in Ibadan just days after the governor’s recent political declarations.
Further details of the meeting were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, as discussions remained ongoing behind closed doors.
