A lady has shared the culture shock her mother experienced after relocating to Lagos for the first time.
According to her, her mum was surprised by the level of respect Yoruba families accord their eldest daughters, noting that even younger siblings often address and treat them with a high level of regard.
She explained that in her hometown, female firstborns are not typically given the same recognition or respect, making the experience particularly striking for her mother.
