The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that the t3rrorism and b@nditry in the northern part of the country is now at his doorstep.
Pastor Adeboye however lamented that the people responsible for insecurity are moving freely.
The cleric spoke at the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award gala, organised by the Save Nigeria Group in Washington.
Adeboye described the situation as so bad, far worse, that people are asking where God is, stressing that that is how dire things have become.
He explained that the t3rrorism, kidn@ppings and other vices that used to happen in the north are now occurring right near his home, noting that they have travelled all the way to the southern part of the country, and that the sponsors are well-known yet continue to move around without any restrictions.
Adeboye said he spoke with President Bola Tinubu and First Lady, Oluremi, who is also a pastor in the RCCG, about the country’s security problems.
He said he told the Nigerian leader to give orders to military officers in the armed forces and set a 90-day deadline, urging that the menace be wiped out or that those unable to do so should resign, while the supporters and sponsors are also dealt with.
The RCCG leader said politicians and businessmen are behind the t3rrorists and b@ndits, stressing that the government must go after the sponsors.
He noted that some of them are businessmen while others are politicians, urging that action be taken against them, adding that if those providing weapons and bullets are not pursued, and given that the perpetrators often ride motorcycles when they move around, the problem would persist unless those funding it are targeted.
