Bangladeshi photographer wins over Rs 6 lakh in UAE Big Ticket draw after years of trying, says ‘trust the process’

After years of buying Big Ticket entries and hoping for a breakthrough, a Bangladeshi expatriate living in the UAE has finally won Dh25,000 in the latest weekly e-draw.Mohammed Nasim Jalal, a Bangladeshi photographer who has been residing in the UAE since 2007, was among four winners selected in Big Ticket’s second weekly e-draw for June. The long-time participant secured the cash prize with ticket number 288-04229.Unlike many entrants who purchase tickets in groups, Nasim has consistently participated on his own over the years. Speaking after learning about his win, he described the experience as both exciting and rewarding.Having spent nearly two decades in the UAE while his family remains in Bangladesh, Nasim said the prize was a welcome reward for his persistence.
Plans to invest prize money
Rather than splurging on immediate purchases, Nasim plans to put the winnings to work. “I plan to invest the money and grow it further,” he said.The photographer added that the win has strengthened his belief in the draw and encouraged him to continue participating in future editions.“I also intend to continue participating in Big Ticket and would encourage others to take a chance and trust the process,” he said.
Four winners bag Dh25,000 each
Nasim was one of four winners announced in the latest weekly e-draw. The list also included Indian expatriates Vijay Menezes, Varun Bharadwaj and Advaith Suresh Nair.Menezes, who has lived in Dubai since 1998 and works at Dubai Islamic Bank, said he plans to use the money for a family vacation. Bharadwaj, a telecommunications assistant from Haryana, intends to clear debts and invest for the future, while MBA student Advaith Nair hopes to use the prize money to support his education.
Dh25 million jackpot up for grabs
The excitement is set to continue with the next Big Ticket live draw scheduled for July 3. One participant will win the grand prize of Dh25 million, while five others will receive Dh1 million each.Two more weekly e-draws are also scheduled this month, with four winners in each draw taking home Dh25,000. Participants will additionally have opportunities to qualify for The Big Spin game show and luxury car giveaways, including a BMW X6 and a Maserati Grecale.
