BNXN Sparks Debate Over Cost of Living Claim Between Lagos and Los Angeles

Nigerian singer Buju BNXN has stirred reactions on social media after claiming that living in Lagos is more expensive than living in Los Angeles.

The music star shared his thoughts while speaking about his experience since arriving in the United States, noting one immediate difference the absence of the constant financial demands he was accustomed to back home.

“I was telling someone, since I got to the United States, I haven’t seen one egbon adugbo asking me to press money,” he said.

He went on to compare the cost of living in both cities, arguing that Lagos places a heavier financial burden on its residents.

“Lagos is too expensive abeg. Lagos is more expensive than LA,” he said, adding that housing remains the only significant expense he has encountered in Los Angeles.

“The only thing expensive in LA is housing. Here you just pay your rent and you’re good,” he added.

His comments have since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians weighing in on the cost of living debate between the two cities.
