CFAO bets on hybrid SUV for Nigerian roads

The Suzuki Across 2026 has been launched into the Nigerian automobile market, with CFAO Mobility Nigeria handling its distribution.

A statement from the firm on Sunday stated that the hybrid sport utility vehicle, designed for fuel efficiency, durability, and performance on varied road conditions, is positioned for drivers seeking lower running costs amid rising fuel prices.

Suzuki by CFAO Mobility Nigeria officially introduced the 2026 Suzuki Across as a hybrid SUV aimed at redefining premium mobility for Nigerian motorists.

“The vehicle combines Suzuki’s SHVS Mild Hybrid technology with ALLGRIP all-wheel-drive capability, alongside comfort features and practical design suited for urban and rough terrain driving conditions,” the statement stated.

According to the company, the hybrid system is designed to improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance driving performance without requiring external charging.

Speaking at the launch, the Deputy Managing Director of CFAO Mobility Nigeria, Mr Kunle Jaiyesimi, said the model reflects a shift toward more practical mobility solutions for Nigerian consumers.

“The Suzuki Across is not simply another SUV introduction; it reflects a more intelligent and practical approach to mobility for Nigerians adapting to today’s economic realities,” Jaiyesimi said.

Also speaking, the General Manager, Suzuki by CFAO Mobility Nigeria, Mrs. Aissatou Diouf, said the vehicle was designed to combine efficiency, durability, and a premium driving experience.

“With intelligent hybrid efficiency, advanced AWD technology, premium comfort, and localized driving adaptability, the Suzuki Across is built to be smart on fuel, strong on roads, and premium in every drive,” she said.

CFAO Mobility Nigeria noted that the launch reinforces its commitment to after-sales support and customer service across the country.

The company said it currently maintains service coverage in 19 states, with more than 20 after-sales locations nationwide to support maintenance and customer needs.

The Suzuki Across 2026 is now available at Suzuki by CFAO Mobility Nigeria dealerships across Nigeria.
