Mrs. Chioma Chukwuyere broke down in tears after authorities took her own child into protective custody, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the alleged abuse of a 10-year-old boy who had been living in her care as a house help.
According to officials, the boy was found with severe injuries, prompting the protective custody action while the matter is being investigated.
Mrs. Chukwuyere was seen crying and pleading with officers as her child was taken away as part of the process.
Her child, identified as Master Chukwutolumugo, was subsequently handed over to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, which placed him in the care of Mrs. Rita Onuoha, the elder sister of the suspect’s husband, pending the outcome of the investigation.
This is a distressing case involving alleged child abuse. If this raises concerns for you or someone you know, please consider reaching out to a trusted professional or relevant child protection authority.
You burned someone else’s child with melted rubber and did him all kind of evil.
And you have the guts to beg to take your own child together with you to prison, saying he is not feeling fine.
You see how your own child dey sweet you?
God will punish you well well for me. pic.twitter.com/J14GkAwvjW
