“I am not a corrupt man” – Labour Party guber candidate in Adamawa declares

Abbo made the comment while unveiling an abridged version of his healthcare manifesto ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The former senator representing Adamawa north said his healthcare delivery plan would be anchored on a medical industrial park designed to position Adamawa as Africa’s premier health and medical hub.
According to him, the project would include a world-class pharmaceutical company, a hospital equipment manufacturing firm, a 21-storey flagship hospital, a medical university, a biotechnology and vaccine production centre, a medical research institute and an active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) production plant.
Abbo said the initiative could generate about N700 billion annually and create more than 125,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The Labour Party candidate said some critics had dismissed the proposal as unrealistic, but insisted that the project is achievable.
His words: “What is impossible to you is very possible to me. We are wired differently. I am born for this. Great countries today is built by ideas under great leaders who are determined and free from corruption.
“I AM NOT A CORRUPT MAN. When leaders eschew corruption and focus on nation building, we can achieve the impossible. Yes we can.”
The former senator said he would unveil an industrialisation project as the next component of his development agenda for the state.
Abbo described the proposed initiative as the foundation of the Adamawa Industrialisation Plan 2027–2035, adding that the programme would reduce the cost of industrialisation and accelerate project delivery across the state.
