Influencer Jamal Morton Loses 2-Year-Old Daughter in Tragic Pool Accident

A parenting content creator has shared the devastating news that his two-year-old daughter d!ed after drowning in the swimming pool at the family’s home in Georgia.

Jamal Morton, 33, who creates comedy parenting content online under the names J’Amore and Mr Jay, announced the tragedy in an emotional post, disclosing that his daughter Rose d!ed after apparently leaving the house on her own and entering the backyard pool unsupervised.

Morton, who has over 1.1 million followers on one social media platform, wrote that Rose had believed she could swim by herself before walking out of the house and into the pool.

The father of six said he would be stepping away from social media to grieve, describing the loss of a child as a pain he would not wish on anyone.

He has also launched a fundraiser to assist with funeral costs and the family’s planned relocation from the property, saying he could no longer live in the house.

Despite his announced hiatus, new content continued to appear on his accounts, with his management team later clarifying that they were maintaining his platforms while he and his family grieved.

The team requested privacy and understanding from the public during what they described as an unimaginable time.

The exact circumstances surrounding the drowning remain unclear, and authorities have not publicly released further details.

It is also unclear whether any charges have been filed against Morton or his wife, Jessica.

Under Georgia law, prosecutors may pursue cr!minal charges where parental negligence is found to have contributed to a child’s d£ath, with previous cases in the state resulting in charges including felony m*rder, cruelty to children, and involuntary manslaughter.

Morton launched his social media career in 2022, quickly building a large following with family-focused comedy content. Rose regularly appeared alongside her siblings in his videos.
