Kano Hisbah arrests 16 youths over immorality

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 16 people during raids targeting alleged immoral activities in different parts of the state.
According to the board, six men and 10 women were apprehended during operations conducted at locations including El-Kanemy Suite, BUK Road, Danbare and Layin Shisha.
Deputy Commander-General Mujahiddeen Aminuddeen said the suspects are first-time offenders and are currently undergoing counselling. He explained that the board would invite their relatives, provide guidance and require them to sign undertakings not to engage in similar activities again.
The Hisbah Board said it will continue to monitor those released and remains committed to enforcing Sharia-related regulations and addressing activities it considers contrary to the state’s moral code.
