PidomNigeria Online reports that Getso died on Saturday in his hometown of Getso, Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano State.
He also served as Managing Director of Radio Kano during the second term administration of former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.
In a condolence message on Sunday issued through his Spokesperson, Ibrahim Shuaibu, Gwarzo described the late broadcaster as a seasoned media professional whose immense contributions to public communication and the development of Kano State would be remembered for generations.
He said the deceased dedicated a significant part of his life to serving the state through the media industry, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to public service.
“His death is a great loss not only to his family and the media community but also to Kano State as a whole. His invaluable contributions to the growth of broadcasting and public enlightenment will continue to inspire future generations,” Gwarzo’s statement partly read.
Gwarzo extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the people of Getso town, and the entire media fraternity in Kano State.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Adamu Getso, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
