Shatta Wale’s former partner, Michy, has strongly rejected claims that the dancehall star provided her with a $65,000 house and other major financial support.
The entrepreneur took to Snapchat on June 24, 2026, to respond to comments made by Shatta Wale during a recent interview, where he claimed he had taken good care of his children’s mothers.
According to Shatta Wale, he contributed $65,000 toward a house for Michy and also bought her a car.
“Michy cannot sit down and say I have not given her $65,000 to buy a house that I saw was under construction… I bought her a car,” he said.
Michy, however, dismissed the claims and suggested that old stories are often brought up whenever she appears to be doing well.
“As soon as they see you happy, they start telling people what you did in 1992. Is there anything he has given anyone that he hasn’t taken back? It’s common sense,” she wrote.
She also challenged claims regarding support for their son, Majesty, insisting that she carries most of the financial responsibility for his upbringing.
“You can show up once in 2 years with bare promises like King Promise; meanwhile, I’m actively doing 95% of this job. You have no idea how expensive this child is.
“Aside from everything else I put into his upbringing, I wouldn’t be proud to boast if it were me giving the bare minimum,” she stated.
To support her argument, Michy shared what she described as a GH¢15,000 shopping receipt for items purchased for their son. She claimed she sent the bill to Shatta Wale with the expectation of reimbursement, which never happened.
Michy further stated that she has tried to remain respectful and avoid public disputes despite repeatedly being mentioned in conversations.
“I’ve always given maximum respect and stayed in my lane. It’s peaceful over here, but it’s like when I’m quietly protecting my reputation, the other side doesn’t like it.
“If you notice, I only speak when necessary. Nothing concerning my past or family. Follow suit, it’s not that hard. Cuz if I were you, I wouldn’t push me,” she wrote.
The exchange has generated reactions online, with fans debating the conflicting claims made by both parties regarding financial support and co-parenting responsibilities.
