Microsoft founder Bill Gates’ public image takes a hit after Epstein files report

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the public image of Bill Gates is facing increasing scrutiny, largely due to renewed attention on his past association with convicted s3x offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to the report, Gates is preparing to testify before Congress as part of an investigation related to Epstein, while concerns about his public standing have reportedly grown in recent months.

The publication claims that teams working for Gates have long sought to carefully manage his public image, but that revelations about his interactions with Epstein, as well as reports concerning his personal life, have contributed to a decline in public perception.

The report further states that both Gates Ventures and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have been monitoring public sentiment surrounding Gates, with surveys allegedly showing lower ratings for favourability, trustworthiness and public appeal following renewed attention on the Epstein case.

The scrutiny has also been fuelled by comments from Gates’ former wife, Melinda French Gates, regarding his association with Epstein, as well as Gates’ own acknowledgement of infidelity during a foundation town hall, according to the report.

The newspaper further alleged that Gates has cancelled some speaking engagements and business meetings in recent months and has been absent from certain high-profile events linked to companies and organisations with which he has longstanding ties.

Gates is scheduled to appear before Congress on June 10 for a transcribed interview connected to the broader Epstein investigation. The hearing is expected to examine issues surrounding his past interactions with Epstein and could attract significant public attention.

Neither Gates nor his representatives have publicly responded to the latest claims contained in the report.
