Netizens react after Yul Edochie queried late actor, Alexx Ekubo,âa decision to hide his wife from the public

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has ignited an online debate after publicly questioning the late actor, Alexx Ekubo’s decision to keep his marriage entirely private.
.....
This came after Alexx’s wife, Anwuli, made her first public appearance at his service of songs held in Lagos state last Wednesday, June 10.
Yul emphasized that public figures shouldn’t hide their lives out of fear of gossip, stating that celebrities should just live openly.
An X user highlighted that Alex, who died in May from metastatic kidney cancer, intentionally hid his marriage to protect his wife from the harsh environment of the “vulture internet.
”Alex Ekubo kept his marriage away from the vulture internet.
Now that he’s gone, blogs are already digging up and posting his wife.
But na some of una still talk say na gay
These blogs are vampires.
The only crime is being a public figure.”
Yul spotted the comment and responded saying Alex hiding his wife from the public was it was ‘’unnecessary.”

‘’He shouldn’t have hidden anything from anyone.
It wasn’t necessary.
People must learn to stop worrying about what people say.
No matter what you do in life people must talk.
So leave them to talk.
Leave blogs to blog.
To be great in life, you must never make yourself small for anyone or any reason.
Give them things to talk about while you ignore them and enjoy your life.”
While some Nigerians supported his stance, others argued that he has no right to speak on the late actor’s decision.
