Osun APC Clashes With Adeleke Govt Over Missing Security Drone Claims

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has challenged Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration to back up its claims that security drones procured under the previous government have gone missing.

The dispute was triggered by a statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, who said the Adeleke administration had been unable to locate five security drones allegedly purchased during former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s tenure, and that the government was considering buying new ones to bolster security operations.

Responding through its spokesperson Kola Olabisi, the APC flatly denied that any drones were ever acquired under Oyetola, describing the allegation as false and politically motivated.

The party called on the state government to produce official documentation to support its claims, warning residents not to be swayed by what it characterized as deliberate misinformation designed to score cheap political points.

Olabisi also criticized the Adeleke administration for continuing to reference its predecessor after more than three years in office, arguing that the governor should be focused on addressing present-day security challenges rather than deflecting blame onto a former government.

He stressed that the responsibility for protecting lives and property in Osun State rests squarely with the administration currently in power, and called on residents to hold it accountable accordingly.
