Rivers: Fubara visits site of collapsed building [PHOTO]

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has visited the site of the collapsed four-storey building in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The visit is to assess the situation and ongoing rescue operations.
Fubara, during the inspection, commended emergency responders and rescue teams for their commitment and dedication in searching for and rescuing victims trapped beneath the debris.
The governor clarified that the building approval was granted by a federal agency, not the Rivers State Government.

He also extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident and wished those injured a speedy recovery as rescue efforts continue at the scene.
Recall that a four-storey building under construction in the Peter Odili axis of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State collapsed on Wednesday, trapping several persons beneath the rubble.
The incident happened barely 48 hours after another three-storey building collapsed at the Rumuolumeni axis of Port Harcourt.
