Nigerian singer Ruger’s record label has revealed the reason behind the artist’s music hiatus.
In a statement, the label disclosed that the ‘Bounce’ crooner has been away from the music scene due to a legal battle with a former girlfriend, who reportedly sued him for alleged “emotional distress” and “damages.”
“Ruger was caught up in a series of personal challenges after someone he dated decided to sue him for alleged ’emotional distress’ and ‘damages’,” the statement partly read.
The label also announced that the singer is set to return to the music scene in August.
