Salami Dynasty stages 40 days’ prayer for brother, Shamusideen

The Salami Dynasty, sons and daughters of late Mudasiru Salami, will on Saturday June 20 stage a 40 Days’ prayer for their late brother Shamusideen who died on May 10 in Badagry after a brief illness.

The event scheduled to take place at Shilloh Hall in Agege will attract top clerics expected to pray for the deceased.

On May 17, the 8 Days Fidau prayer took place in Mowo, Badagry but this event is billed for Agege because that is where late Shamusideen and his junior ones, the Salami Dynasty, grew up.

The eldest child in the family, Pastor Mutiat Ali, said on Thursday that all arrangements for the event had been concluded.

“We are also going to remember our late dad in prayers since his posthumous anniversary is just three days after our brother’s event,” she said.

Family Secretary, Adeniyi Salami, has been working round the clock in the past days to make the event hugely successful just as one of the Dynasty members based abroad, Azeez Salami, has also played a huge role even though he is not in Nigeria.

Head of the Family, Adekunle Salami, noted that it was important to honour their departed brother who lived a good life and bonded with all of them.

“It was a shock to us that he left us but since he was a father and grandfather, we just have to do the right thing for him,” he said.

After the prayers, in the morning there will be a reception for the guests at the same venue in Agege.
