UK-based woman leaves husband of 4 years, says 50-50 marriage became a problem when he wanted part of her money

A UK-based woman has gone viral after revealing that she recently walked out of her four-year marriage, claiming disagreements over finances pushed her to the decision.

The woman, who shares two children with her husband, said they had been splitting bills equally since relocating to the UK.

According to her, the final straw came after she received a lump-sum payment from her employer. She claimed her husband asked her to contribute between £2,000 and £3,000 from the money despite their existing 50-50 arrangement.

She said she was shocked that after sharing expenses equally, her husband still wanted access to what she considered her personal money.

The woman also accused him of frequently reminding her that he brought her to the UK and that her life would have been different if she had remained in Nigeria.

Fed up with the situation, she said she decided to end the marriage and move on.

She went on to advise women not to disclose their full earnings to their partners, claiming some men become uncomfortable when they know how much their wives earn.

The woman added that she has informed her husband that he must continue supporting their children financially and warned that she would take legal action if he failed to do so.
