2026 World Cup: SuperComputer predicts two teams to win trophy with semi-finals confirmed

The Opta SuperComputer has predicted that the winner of the 2026 World Cup will come from the France vs Spain semi-final.
Les Bleus qualified for the last four of the tournament with an impressive 2-0 win over Morocco.
On the other hand, Spain needed a late winner by Mikel Merino to see off Switzerland 2-1.
Opta has now given France a 33.81% chance of emerging champions if they reach the final, while Spain have a 24.16% probability.
The other semi-final will see current holders Argentina take on England.
The Three Lions have been given a 21.97% chance of winning the trophy for the first time in 60 years, while Lionel Messi and co have a 20.06% probability of retaining the trophy.
