Bandits Attack Zamfara Community, Burn Elder’s Home And Abduct Residents

After suspected bandits raided Dauran town in Zamfara State’s Zurmi Local Government Area and burnt a revered community elder’s house on fire during the raid, several locals were kidnapped.

Security analyst Bakatsine posted about the incident online, on Friday.

The article claims that on Thursday night, the attackers attacked Dauran town and set fire to the home of prominent community elder Malam Ahmad Ariri Galadawa.

According to Bakatsine, the bandits also kidnapped a number of locals during the assault, though it was not immediately apparent how many were taken.

According to Bakatsine, “another night of violence leaves families searching for loved ones and communities once again counting the cost of insecurity.”
