BBNaija Season 11 premieres today with ₦160m grand prize

The 11th season of the Big Brother Naija reality television show premieres on Sunday, with viewers set for another edition of Africa’s biggest reality TV programme.
MultiChoice Nigeria had announced that the new season would debut on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with a record-breaking grand prize of ₦160m, the highest since the show debuted in 2006.
Here are key details about the show ahead of Sunday’s premiere
Time and how to watch
In a statement released on July 16, the organiser said the launch show will air from 7pm on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, while the 24-hour live broadcast will be available on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49.
Viewers can also stream the show live on DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.
Prize
The winner of this year’s edition will receive a grand prize comprising ₦100m in cash and a brand-new SUV, bringing the total prize value to ₦160m.
Speaking ahead of the new season, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice, Atinuke Babatunde, said the show would build on its legacy with bigger surprises.
“Big Brother Naija has consistently redefined entertainment in Africa by bringing together authentic storytelling, compelling personalities and moments that resonate with millions of viewers.
“Season 11 builds on that legacy with even bigger stakes, fresh twists and an exciting mix of housemates that will keep audiences engaged from premiere night through to the finale,” she said.
Preparations for the new season began earlier this year with physical auditions held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu after shortlisted applicants were invited.
Participation was free and open only to Nigerians aged 21 and above with valid means of identification.
Host
Returning as host is Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who will oversee another season expected to feature strategic gameplay, challenging tasks, unexpected twists and dramatic interactions among the housemates.
Last edition
The new season follows the success of BBNaija Season 10, which ended on October 5, 2025, with Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, defeating 28 other contestants to win a prize package worth ₦150m, including ₦80m in cash and an SUV.
Eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will be able to vote for their favourite housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps, with additional voting benefits available to customers who upgrade their subscription packages.
