Chairman Wontumi Drops Fresh, Sad And Emotional Message To Close Aide From Prison

Oheneba Nana Asiedu, host of the Wontumi Morning Show and a close aide to incarcerated Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has claimed he saw Chairman Wontumi in a dream, where the chairman expressed a single wish, that no one, including his workers and party members, should express regret or pity for his situation.

“I saw Chairman Wontumi in my dream, and he had just one wish, he doesn’t ever want to hear anyone say they wish he were around, including his workers and party members,” Oheneba Asiedu said, adding that in the dream, Chairman Wontumi encouraged him to work hard alongside others to ensure the continued success of both his businesses and the NPP.

Oheneba Asiedu has remained one of Wontumi’s most vocal defenders throughout the Ashanti Regional Chairman’s legal troubles, having previously used his platform on Wontumi TV to rally party members and criticize perceived silence from other NPP figures following the party’s 2024 election defeat.

He recently won election as NPP’s Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency Second Vice Chairperson.

Chairman Wontumi was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment with hard labour on July 20 following his conviction in the Samreboi illegal mining case.

The NPP has maintained the conviction was politically motivated and has confirmed plans to appeal.

Here’s how Oheneba Asiedu explained his dream.
