Davido and Mayorkun Reunite for New Song After Four Years

Afrobeats musician Davido and Nigerian artist Mayorkun have teamed together to create a new song called “B4 B4,” which will be released on July 31.

On Wednesday, Mayorkun posted on his verified Instagram profile to announce the partnership.

The singer wrote, “New Music! This Friday! ‘B4 B4’ #Oriade,” beside a promotional shot of himself and Davido.

The song can be found on Davido’s upcoming album, “Oriadé.”

The announcement has stirred excitement among industry watchers and entertainers on social media, with Davido reacting to the post by writing, “WE BACK.”

Several celebrities also lauded the reunion, with content creator Officer Woos remarking that he had learnt from the best, while music producer Tolazfab and entertainer Lanreysgram equally expressed excitement about the collaboration.

Fans took to the comment section to voice their anticipation for the song’s release, with one social media user saying they could not wait to hear track seven, while another echoed similar excitement about the upcoming release.

The collaboration marks a historic reunion between Davido and Mayorkun, coming since the “Mayor of Lagos” crooner left Davido’s DMW label in 2021 to pursue his career as an independent artiste.

The duo have previously worked together on several major collaborative tracks, including “Prayer” (2017), “Mind” (2018), “Bobo” (2018), “Betty Butter” (2020), “The Best” (2020), and “Cho Cho” (2021).
