Organisers of Big Brother Naija have heightened anticipation for the reality show’s 11th season after teasing its return in a social media post on Sunday, prompting fans to demand an official premiere date.

In the update shared across the show’s social media platforms, the organisers wrote: “A new chapter begins, and this time, everything is for the taking. #BBNaija season 11 is coming soon.”

The announcement sparked reactions across X and Instagram, with many fans expressing excitement while urging the organisers to reveal when the new season would begin.

On X, user #OginniAdekemi wrote, “Don’t starve us…. give us date.”

Another user, #PreciousPelt0a, said, “I can’t wait to hear ur voice again biggie.”

Others questioned why no premiere date had been announced, while some urged the organisers to ensure the upcoming edition matched or surpassed the success of the previous season.

One fan, #King_Ecchoo008, wrote, “No date reveal yet?? Y’all are gonna have to do everything to make it good bcos after the success of last season, this one might not hit.”

Some viewers also suggested new features for the show. User #iam_dura called for the introduction of a “Movie Night” segment, a format popularised by the Love Island franchise, where previously unseen footage is shown to contestants, often leading to dramatic confrontations.

Instagram users also reacted to the teaser, with many saying they were eager to see what the new season would bring.

The teaser comes after the completion of BBNaija Season 10, which saw housemate Imisi Ayanwale emerge winner, claiming the ₦80 million grand prize and an Innoson SUV.

The franchise has also remained in the spotlight following the Season 10 reunion, which premiered on June 8 and reunited all 29 former housemates to address controversies from the show.

Ahead of Season 11, organisers had concluded auditions after opening the application portal in May and conducting physical auditions in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu, signalling that preparations for the new edition are already at an advanced stage.

Sunday’s teaser has further fuelled expectations among viewers as they await an official premiere date for the highly anticipated season.
