EFCC interrogates activists Mama Pee and Randy Peter over Naira Abuse allegations
Good governance activists, Peter Akah aka RandyPeter and Precious Oruche aka MamaPee were on Wednesday, July 15, invited by the police to answer questions over allegations of abuse of the Naira.
Both activists were invited separately via a letter dated 24th June, 2026.
Following the invitation, the activists, accompanied by their lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, honored the invitation on Wednesday, July15. According to Inibehe, they met with the investigators and after cooperating with the Commission, they were released. He said they will be going to the commission today in furtherance of the investigation.
Inibehe said that during the interrogation, the EFCC operatives acted professionally.
He mentioned that both Mama Pee and Peter clarified that what was referenced was props money for entertainment and not Naira notes.
