Anambra police arraign man for incest after he engaged in s3xual acts with his 14-year-old daughter (video)


The Anambra State Police Command has arraigned one Ikenna Mojekwu, before the Gender Magistrate Court sitting in Awka for charge bordering on alleged incest.
Mojekwu is facing charges of alleged incest for engaging in unlawful s3xual acts with his 14-year-old daughter in Aguluzoigbo, Anaocha Locak Government Arera.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who disclosed this in a statement on 6th July, 2026 said two other suspects were also arraigned for defilement, and rape following the conclusion of investigations.
“The Anambra State Police Command has continued to demonstrate its commitment to protecting vulnerable persons and ensuring justice for victims of s3xual and gender-based violence with the arraignment of three suspects before the Gender Magistrate Court sitting in Awka on Wednesday, 15th July, 2026,” the statement read.
“The suspects were arraigned on separate charges bordering on alleged incest, defilement, and r@pe following the conclusion of Police investigations.
“Among those arraigned is Ikenna Mojekwu, who is facing charges of alleged incest for reportedly engaging in unlawful s3xual acts with his 14-year old daughter in Aguluzoigbo.
“Also arraigned was Chibuike Ikemelu, who is alleged to have had unlawful s3xual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl, resulting in pregnancy in Abatete.
“The third suspect, Chukwuma Emenike, aged 16 years old was arraigned on allegations of def!ling an 8-year-old girl in Umuoji.
“The suspects were arraigned after investigations by the Police and were remanded in accordance with the orders of the court. The matters have been adjourned to later dates for further hearing.
“To this end the Command reiterates its resolve to investigate and diligently prosecute all cases involving s3xual and gender-based violence and further encourages victims and members of the public to promptly report such offences, assuring that every report will be treated with the seriousness it deserves while safeguarding the rights of victims and ensuring due process.”
