The Director-General of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle gave the warning in a statement by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi on Wednesday in Kano.
According to the statement, intending pilgrims will not be given a seat after the closing date and the board has earlier fixed the hajj deposit for 2027 pilgrimage at N8 million.
“All intending pilgrims should complete their payments and registration before the deadline to secure their places for pilgrimage”.
Ibrahim-Matawalle further explained that the board will not extend the registration period or allocate hajj seats to anyone who fails to meet the deadline.
He added that measures have been taken to ensure effective planning and coordination of 2027 hajj exercise.
The Director-General reaffirmed the board’s commitment to conduct a smooth, transparent and hitch-free hajj operation.
He advised prospective pilgrims to comply with all registration requirements within the stipulated period to avoid losing opportunity to perform the pilgrimage.
