Jenny Mollen Breaks Silence On Being ‘Depressed’ And ‘Surviving’ Amid Jason Biggs Divorce

Jenny Mollen is taking each day as it comes while navigating her divorce from Jason Biggs.

The actress gave fans a glimpse into what her life looks like post-separation, highlighting that adjusting to a new normal never comes easy. Speaking about the breakup is nothing new for her, as she previously detailed the dynamic shift their relationship has taken.

Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs were married for eighteen years before calling it quits. They remain cordial with each other and are focused on co-parenting their two kids, Lazlo and Sid.

Mollen has shared that there is more to her life than presented online. She shared her life update in an Instagram post which began as a montage of pictures taken as she sat on a fence.

The actress, dressed in a black flowy flowered dress and a pair of sunglasses, was filmed running through a yard as she twirled and enjoyed the breeze. At some points in the video, Mollen took a few excited leaps with her blonde locks bouncing as she moved and then stopped to smile at the camera.

The Instagram reel, which had Metric’s “Help I’m Alive” as the background music, was aptly captioned, “So we are clear, I am massively depressed. This is just what surviving looks like.”

Mollen’s post, which hit the internet less than 24 hours ago, has gotten over a thousand reactions. Many fans took to the comment section to encourage her to keep pressing forward despite life’s challenges thrown at her.

“You’ve got this!  No one knows what depression looks like. Hang in there, mama [heart emoji],” a fan commented. “Girl, you will come out stronger and hotter![smiling face with heart eyes emoji],” another added.

Other fans expressed how they resonated with Mollen’s feelings, sharing personal experiences and assuring her that healing is near. Several netizens complimented the TV star’s outfit, while encouraging her to dig deeper into the space of self-love.

The “Amateur Night” movie star revealed a “horrifying” text she sent to Biggs after their separation. She shared that she reached out to him about her plans to undergo a vaginoplasty. In hindsight, Mollen admitted that the timing and message felt “shady and weird.”

According to the Cleveland Clinic, a vaginoplasty is a procedure to repair the vagina due to damage from medical conditions, injury, and other factors like childbirth. The procedure can be carried out for both cosmetic and functional reasons.

“‘I’m having a vagina surgery.’ I mean, it looks so bad for me,” Mollen recalled, adding, “I’m going under for two and a half f–king hours. I was like, ‘Make this feel palatable,’ but it was awful.”  The Blast reported that she also shared how she sent Biggs texts about the instruction to stay away from sexual intercourse for eight weeks post-surgery.

The Hollywood stars were together for almost two decades, and that is not a kind of relationship that just goes away. Mollen explained that their romance has transcended to a different level where they still love and care for each other like best friends, but “it’s still romantic.”

Co-parenting the two sons they share also ensures constant communication between them despite the “surreal [and] really bizarre” breakup. “We live in two different places, but we’re still tethered. We have kids. We still talk 18 times a day about everyone’s schedule and after school and holidays,”  the actress previously shared.

According to The Blast, Mollen assured fans that their split was amicable and there was no bad blood between them. The former couple even reunited as a family to celebrate the “American Pie” star’s birthday on May 12, just days before publicly announcing their separation.

The “Angel” actress recently got candid about a health scare she went through after using a GLP-1 drug. She noted that the side effects of the medication were so severe that she felt like she was “laying an egg” whenever she had to use the bathroom, as shared by The Blast.

“Suddenly I was, like, hemorrhaging. It was, like, blood clots the size of dinosaur eggs. It was so scary.”  As a result, she suffered significant blood loss and was faced with multiple fainting episodes. Ultimately, Mollen had to be rushed to the hospital via ambulance, and the actor reportedly stepped in to manage the crisis without awaking their sleeping sons.

Mollen also admitted that at some stages in their relationship she felt unseen as a result of marrying a huge industry star and tying the knot to someone as recognizable as the “American Pie” actor made her feel left on the sidelines personally and professionally. She confessed that she often wondered about her achievements and self because she was always linked to Biggs’ stardom.
