Kogi govt.’s projects align with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda – Presidency

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State for his visible developmental strides across the state.

Sunday Dare gave the commendation on Monday in Egbe during the second day of the Presidential Media Tour while inspecting ongoing and completed projects in the Yagba West Local Government Area and other parts of the state.

Dare said the executed projects in Kogi reflect the core objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, particularly in infrastructure and grassroots development.

“We came all the way from Lokoja, almost a five-hour journey. We have seen the efforts of Governor Ododo in constructing internal roads that provide access to farms and rural communities,” Dare said.

“Today, we have inspected a 15-kilometer stretch of internal roads, as well as primary healthcare centres. The development plan being executed here in Kogi State aligns with the key elements of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The presidential aide noted that President Tinubu has continued to prioritise infrastructure nationwide, with over 300 road projects currently ongoing across the country.

He cited the Kabba–Egbe–Omu-Aran Road as one of the projects recently approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

According to him, the road had been abandoned for nearly three decades before President Tinubu approved its reconstruction, and work commenced immediately after approval.

He said good road networks are critical to economic growth, especially with major industries like Dangote and Mangal cement factories located in Kogi State.

Speaking at the construction site of the Kabba–Egbe–Omu-Aran Road, Dare said the Renewed Hope agenda is already producing results in healthcare, infrastructure, education, agriculture, manufacturing, and oil and gas.
He assured Nigerians that the administration remains committed to delivering the full dividends of democracy at both federal and state levels.

Also speaking, Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, thanked President Tinubu for approving and commencing key federal road projects and other strategic interventions in the state.
Fanwo said increased revenue allocation to states under the current administration has enabled governors to undertake transformative projects that directly impact citizens. He assured the president of massive support from Kogi State in the next general elections.

In separate remarks, the chairman of Yagba West Local Government, Hon. Tosin Olokun, and the Kogi State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Joseph Oluwasegun, expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and Governor Ododo for the infrastructure projects in their communities.

They pledged continued support and cooperation with both the federal and state governments.
The team also inspected completed and ongoing internal road projects in Kogi Central and the Lokoja International Market currently under construction.
