Lagos firm bags web hosting award

Lagos-based cloud infrastructure and web hosting provider, HoganHost, has been named Web Hosting Company of the Year in the People’s Choice category at the 6th Eko Heritage Awards, which was held on Saturday at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The recognition was announced in a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Joseph Hogan, on Sunday.

The award was presented at the ceremony, where individuals, brands and organisations were honoured for excellence and innovation across business, technology, entrepreneurship and the creative industry.

The statement said HoganHost emerged as the winner ahead of fellow web hosting providers, QServers and Harmon Web, reflecting the confidence and support of customers and the wider technology community.

Hogan received the award and dedicated the recognition to the company’s customers, partners and employees for their continued support.

He said, “This recognition is particularly meaningful because it comes from the people we serve. Every website we host, every domain we register and every business we help establish online represents a relationship built on trust. We are grateful to our customers, partners and our incredible team whose dedication has made this achievement possible.”

Speaking on the company’s long-term vision, Hogan said the recognition represented another milestone in its ambition to become Africa’s leading web hosting and cloud infrastructure provider.

The recent acquisition of ZuumHost and our growing accreditations across several African countries demonstrate our commitment to building a truly Pan-African digital infrastructure company. We are investing in technology, expanding our footprint and creating solutions that will empower businesses across the continent to compete globally,” he said.

The statement noted that the award came during one of the company’s most significant growth periods.

It recalled that HoganHost recently acquired ZuumHost, one of Nigeria’s established web hosting providers and an accredited .ng domain registrar, while retaining it as an independent subsidiary to preserve its brand identity and customer relationships.

According to the statement, the acquisition strengthened HoganHost’s position in the domestic market and advanced its ambition of building a multi-brand digital infrastructure group serving businesses across Africa.

The company also disclosed that it recently secured nine international domain accreditations, expanding its portfolio of country-specific and global domain extensions and strengthening its capacity to provide localised domain registration services across multiple markets.

Founded by Joseph Hogan and Atim Hogan, HoganHost provides web hosting, cloud hosting, dedicated servers, domain registration and enterprise digital infrastructure services to businesses, developers and organisations.
