Mum arrested after she told cops she had eaten parts of her dead 4-year-old son

A woman allegedly cooked parts of her four-year-old son’s arm and ate his remains in a horror murder case. The 32-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, turned herself in to the police in Wyong, Australia, after the crime was committed.
She told officers she had eaten parts of her son, prompting investigators to search her property, where they allegedly found the dismembered remains. Sources alleged that the 32-year-old “filleted” her son’s arm before cooking it. Despite having a combination of mental health and drug addiction issues, she has had minimal contact with the courts in recent years, The Australian reported.
Police were reportedly met with an “extremely confronting” scene at the New South Wales address on Saturday, finding that the four-year-old had been “deceased for some time” and sustained significant arm and leg injuries.
The woman was charged with one count of murder and was refused bail while appearing in court on Sunday.
Superintendent Chad Gillies, Tuggerah Lakes Police District Cdr, said: “My priority at the moment now is to work through the investigation with detectives to understand exactly what happened and why it happened, and importantly, as well, providing welfare to all the police that attended last night and through the investigation.
He added: “Whenever a child is a(n) (alleged) victim of violent crime and whenever a child is (allegedly) murdered, it strikes at the core of community. That’s why it’s absolutely important we work through this methodically, we try to understand what’s happened, why it happened.
“From my perspective, we owe that to that little boy to make sure that we get the exact circumstances and present them to the court in due course, and that is the focus over the coming days and weeks for investigators.”
The 32-year-old woman will next appear in court on September 1.
