NAF shortlists candidates for 2026/2027 academic session

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has released the list of candidates shortlisted for admission into its secondary schools for the 2026/2027 academic session, inviting successful applicants to participate in the next stage of the admission process.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the NAF said the shortlist covers candidates seeking admission into the Air Force Military School (AFMS), Air Force Girls’ Military School (AFGMS), Jos, as well as other Nigerian Air Force Secondary Schools nationwide.

The statement, signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the director of public relations and information directed all shortlisted candidates to collect their interview invitation letters from their chosen schools beginning Monday, July 6, 2026.

According to the schedule released by the Air Force, interviews for candidates applying to the Air Force Military School and Air Force Girls’ Military School in Jos will be conducted in two phases.

The first batch, comprising candidates from Abia to Kano states, will hold from August 3 to August 7, while the second batch, covering candidates from Katsina to Zamfara states, is scheduled for August 7 to August 11.

The NAF added that interviews for applicants seeking admission into other Nigerian Air Force Secondary Schools across the country will commence on August 18.

It advised all shortlisted candidates and their parents to visit the official NAF Examination Centre website to confirm the shortlist and obtain detailed information on interview requirements and other admission guidelines.

The Air Force said the exercise is part of the admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session and urged candidates to adhere strictly to the announced timetable.
