Nigerian midfielder Suliat Abideen signed by Fenerbahçe

Turkish Women’s Super League champions Fenerbahçe have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Suliat Abideen from fellow Turkish side ABB Fomget.
The Istanbul club announced the transfer on Monday, confirming that the 24-year-old has signed a contract that will keep her at the club until the end of the season. Abideen’s arrival increases the number of Nigerian players at Fenerbahçe to three, with compatriots Regina Otu and Flourish Sabastine already part of the club’s squad.
The move marks the second European club of Abideen’s career after her stint with ABB Fomget. The midfielder rose to prominence after playing a key role in Edo Queens’ Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title-winning campaign in 2024.
Her outstanding performances during that season earned her the NWFL Most Valuable Player award.
